Sing on an Anna Vaus song!
Hi friend!
Thank you so much for wanting to be part of my next song, This Too Shall Pass. Auld Lang Syne is one of my favorite songs of ~auld~ time, and I recently read a story about how in WWI, soldiers in the trenches changed the words to “We’re here because we’re here…” to carry them through the long days and dark nights. It inspired me to think about the words I would want to hear through long days and dark nights. Four words came to mind:
this too shall pass.
I asked you to sing on it because I want you to have a song you can listen to with your voice singing “this too shall pass” with other humans from all across the world. Almost like an affirmation that storms don’t last forever and sunshine is just a cloud away.
Instructions are below, please submit your recording by October 16th! Thank you again for lending your time and your voice. I can’t wait to hear you sing!
Love,
Anna
P.S. Don’t worry about being a “singer” or not - this is more about the spirit of the song rather than singing it perfectly!
